10 EURO “ASHORE” COLLECTOR COIN

The Federal Government has decided to have a 10 euro “Ashore” collector coin minted and is expected to issue it in March 2020.

This coin is the second issue in the three-part series Moving Air, started in 2019. It focuses on young dynamic sporting trends where you only use air or wind to move. The 10 euro collector coin “Ashore” consists of an inner copper and nickel core, an outer ring of red bronze and a translucent plastic ring between the two metal components.

The 10 euro collector coin “Ashore” consists of an inner copper and nickel core, an outer ring of red bronze and a translucent plastic ring between the two metal components. It has a mass of 9.8 grams and is produced in the two minting qualities of mint condition and mirror finish.

The coin was designed by artist Andre Witting from Berlin.

It shows the sailing vehicle, the “yacht” in a very elegant and reduced way, in the vastness of the landscape. The value side shows an eagle and the lettering “Federal Republic of Germany”, the value digit and designation, the year 2020 and the twelve European stars. Depending on the minting location, the mint mark is: “A” (Berlin), “D” (Munich), “F” (Stuttgart), “G” (Karlsruhe) or “J” (Hamburg).

The edge of the coin is smooth and doesn’t have any structure.
